Last month, Nokia's release of the Lumia 1020 in New York impressed many people, and this week, this WP8 phone with a 41 million pixel camera will be launched in the domestic market.
Currently, Micmiu has received an invitation from Nokia, indicating that Nokia will host a launch event titled "Zoom·Imaging Revolution, Right Before Your Eyes!" in Nanjing from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM on the 15th (this Thursday). The star of the show will be the Lumia 1020, humorously referred to as the "Oreo phone" by the public. The invitation shows that Nokia will jointly launch the Lumia 1020 with Suning, China Unicom, and Microsoft.
Like its international version, the Lumia 1020 will feature a 4.5-inch 720p screen, powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor and 2GB of RAM. It will also come equipped with a 41 million pixel lens with optical stabilization capabilities.
As early as last week, netizens revealed a poster showing that Suning had already set a pre-order price for the Lumia 1020 at a high 5999 yuan. However, this price actually includes the Lumia 1020’s original charging handle and offers discount return coupons, so this high price is likely just a marketing strategy by the retailer.
Based on previous Lumia flagship releases, the Lumia 1020 should be priced under 5000 yuan. The exact domestic price will only be revealed by Nokia this Thursday.
