North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited the May 11 factory and inspected various aspects of the "Arirang" mobile phone production. He expressed that for touch screen phones to be convenient for users, they must be sensitive. He also praised the high pixel count of the phone's camera as being very suitable for public use. Upon learning about the strong demand for the phones, Kim said, "I am very happy that the people like them."
According to reports, Kim Jong-un toured the assembly plant and other sections of the factory, gaining a detailed understanding of the performance, quality, and packaging of the "Arirang" mobile phones produced there. He highly commended the factory officials and employees for establishing a modernized mobile phone production line, laying a solid foundation for mass production.
Kim evaluated the application software developed in the North Korean style, which can both maximize convenience for users and effectively ensure security.
After asking about the performance of the "Arirang" touch-screen phone’s display, he stated that only when this part is sensitive can it be convenient for users. The phone's camera has a very high pixel count, making it ideal for public use.
Upon learning about the strong demand for the "Arirang" phones recently produced by the factory, Kim said, "I am very happy that the people like them."
Seeing the word "Arirang" printed on the phone, Kim pointed out that producing more products with North Korean trademarks can make the North Korean people feel national pride and honor. Relying on North Korean technology to smoothly manufacture phones shows how good it is, and it also has educational significance in making people cherish North Korean things. Kim also said that while increasing production, the quality should be improved so that people will love their own products and expand the demand for North Korean goods.
