After a month-long integration transition period, China Netcom employees have basically all switched to Unicom G-network numbers, and both parties have also realized mutual business handling in many places. However, the switch from C-network to G-network for Unicom employees has not yet been implemented. It is reported that at the end of May, China Netcom had issued a document requiring Netcom employees to change their mobile phone numbers to Unicom G-network numbers. It is understood that the group customer department of Unicom in various places has specially allocated part of the 156 number segment for Netcom employees.

The reporter learned that so far, from the employees of the Netcom headquarters to the grassroots employees, the network switching has been basically completed, with an estimated number of people reaching several hundred thousand. A general manager of a Netcom prefecture-level branch company said that the notice of network switching was received in early June. Currently, including the employees in the business hall, the network switching has been implemented to show support for the new Unicom. At the grassroots level, both Unicom and Netcom have shown very high enthusiasm for strengthening merger communication. Joint meetings have been held multiple times from provincial companies to prefecture-level companies in various places, basically establishing a daily joint working mechanism. Business cooperation coordination groups, full-service R&D groups, campus business cooperation groups, major customer cooperation groups, resource cooperation groups, channel cooperation groups, etc., have been established. Both parties also encourage employees to use resources such as channels, relatives and friends of employees, cooperative companies, and major customers to vigorously use and develop various businesses of both parties, and provide corresponding commissions according to regulations.
