Voting Results
iOS 7 welcomed its fifth beta version yesterday, and currently, the attitude of Apple fans towards this new system is undergoing subtle changes. It is still fresh in our memory that when iOS 7 was first released, countless hardcore users who disliked change, as well as many followers of the crowd, criticized the flat design of iOS 7 and lamented the departure of the skeuomorphic iOS. So, how is the situation now?
Online voting survey site Polar recently conducted a poll, asking Apple iOS users to choose between iOS 7 and iOS 6. Surprisingly, in less than two months, user preferences have changed drastically, with iOS 7 becoming the most popular version.
Polar's vote mainly compared some important interface elements between the new and old iOS systems, including: on/off toggle switches, date picker interface, prompts, status bar, slide slots, keyboard, icons, share interface, lock screen interface, and notification center, etc.
From the voting results, it can be seen that iOS 7 performed much better than iOS 6 in every comparison. In terms of overall scores, 72% of users prefer the iOS 7 interface, while only 28% prefer iOS 6.
Meanwhile, many users expressed their fondness for fingerprint recognition features during the vote, hoping that Apple will consider adding this feature when officially releasing iOS 7 and the iPhone 5S in the fall.
