Yahoo's New Logo Today
Yahoo has undergone tremendous changes since the arrival of its new CEO, Marissa Mayer. Now, it's the company logo's turn. The Yahoo logo that we've seen for almost 20 years will soon be a thing of the past. Today, Yahoo announced that in September, the company will officially launch a new logo.
Yahoo is truly innovative; they're making a whole event out of changing their logo. Most companies simply unveil their new logo and that's it, but not Yahoo. Over the next 30 days (starting on August 6th, local time in the U.S.), Yahoo will feature a different version of its logo on its homepage and other affiliated sites daily. The true official logo will only be revealed on September 5th.
Yahoo stated that the new logo will have a modern design (it seems like it will follow the flat, minimalist style similar to Windows 8 and iOS7), while retaining the purple color and the exclamation mark after "Yahoo".
If we go by Yahoo's description, the change in the new logo will mainly involve a different font style.
