In addition to the rumored WeChat 5.0, the Weibo Taobao Edition was also officially launched today. On August 1st, Sina Weibo and Taobao will hold a product cooperation conference in Beijing to launch the Weibo Taobao Edition, enabling account interoperability. Taobao sellers can directly post products on the Weibo Taobao Edition and manage their products and monitor business conditions through the backend.

According to previous introductions, the Weibo Taobao Edition is not an independent product but rather a Weibo system embedded in the Wangpu backend for Taobao sellers. Sellers can directly post products and Weibos to Sina Weibo from the Taobao backend. Additionally, it can achieve multiple functions such as business condition monitoring, conversion rate analysis, influence analysis, and fan analysis.

After verification, Sina Weibo and Taobao have already completed account interoperability. The binding method is as follows:

Binding method within Sina Weibo: "Account Settings" - "Community Binding" - "Bind Taobao Account";

Binding method within Taobao: "My Taobao" - "Account Settings" - "Weibo Binding Settings".

After completing the account binding, a new Weibo icon will appear in the upper right corner of the Taobao homepage. Clicking it allows for quick login to Weibo. Additionally, Wangwang can also be used to log into Weibo.

It is reported that users can share Taobao items they have purchased via Weibo, but this needs to be done manually; the system will not automatically share. The shared Taobao link will be parsed in card form, including price, product image, like index, sales volume, seller name, and other information.

Meanwhile, the Weibo Taobao Edition for sellers will gradually open up. The first batch to be connected will include some large sellers with good credit and sales volume, and later it will open up to more Taobao and Tmall sellers.

Currently, the Weibo Taobao Edition is mainly based on the PC platform, with the mobile version still under development.
