Seoul, August 4th - According to foreign media reports, South Korean media Moveplayer has discovered that Samsung filed three new design patents, which may reveal some clues about the design template of Samsung's smartwatch.
Although Samsung has never concealed its intention to develop a smartwatch, there is no clue about what this wearable computing device will look like. However, Samsung's newly filed three design patents may reflect the design template of its smartwatch.
These three design patents were registered between March and May this year. The patents describe a watch-like device equipped with Android-style control systems and flexible displays.
The device appears quite credible, but it does not necessarily mean that Samsung will definitely launch such a device, as many technology companies often file design patents but ultimately do not release related products.
Samsung's previous application for the Gear trademark had no obvious connection to wearable technology. However, if Samsung really releases a smartwatch like this, it will at least not differ too much from the devices described in these three patents.
