Apple has "Find My iPhone", so Google can't be without "Find My Android". Today, Google announced this service, which will have a dedicated website and an application for Android called Android Device Manager. This tool allows you to locate your Android device at any time, making it easier to find if lost. Even if the device is in silent mode, you can remotely make it ring. If the device cannot be recovered, you can also perform a remote data erase to protect against unfortunate incidents involving selfies or private photos.
The service and application will be available within this month, requiring Android 2.2 or higher, and of course, you must be logged into your Google account for it to work.
