Beijing Time, August 2nd news, according to foreign media reports, the U.S. International Trade Commission (hereinafter referred to as ITC) will postpone the trial date of the Apple vs. Samsung patent lawsuit by 8 days, until the 9th of this month. According to the original plan, this case was scheduled for trial on August 1st and has attracted widespread attention.

In the preliminary trial in October 2012, Administrative Judge Thomas Pender found that Samsung had infringed on four valid Apple patents, including one design patent and three technology patents. Before conducting a full review of the case, the six-member ITC also raised some questions to Judge Pender and discovered that the Android text selection function was also suspected of infringing on patents.

August 9th will be an important date in the patent dispute between Apple and Samsung. On that day, the U.S. Federal Circuit Court of Appeals will hold a hearing for Apple's appeal, as a district court refused to impose a sales ban on some Samsung products suspected of infringing multiple patents.

The postponement of the ITC's verdict also results in another outcome: Samsung won a sales ban against older versions of the iPhone and iPad in early June. As long as this decision is not overturned by the U.S. Trade Representative, the sales ban can take effect before the ITC announces its verdict.
