Samsung Ad Agency Tries to Buy Off StackOverflow Users

An advertising company hired by Samsung attempted to bribe a StackOverflow user named Delyan Kratunov to post questions related to Samsung on the website. StackOverflow is a popular community-based Q&A site.

This advertising company aimed to promote an event called Samsung Smart App Challenge (SSAC) on StackOverflow. They hoped that over the course of a month, four questions related to SSAC would appear on StackOverflow. However, they did not want these posts to be seen as spam advertisements. Therefore, they sought out a seasoned member of StackOverflow to post the questions in a clever and subtle manner, and then engage in back-and-forth with those who responded. Kratunov ultimately declined their offer.
