Although dual-screen phones were once popular, they have now gradually become a niche model. However, according to reports from the Japanese media RBMen, Samsung does not seem to be planning on giving up on the dual-screen phone category.
RBMen stated that they discovered the user manual for a new device named Galaxy Folder (model number SHV-E400K) on Samsung's official Korean website. From this information, it is clear that the Galaxy Folder is a dual-screen phone running on the Android system, with one screen measuring 3.7 inches, made of AMOLED material, and having a resolution of 800x480. Additionally, the Galaxy Folder will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 series dual-core processor and 2GB RAM, and it will support LTE networks.
Although this is not Samsung's first dual-screen phone, judging from the hardware configuration, the Galaxy Folder’s positioning is likely lower than Samsung’s SCH-W2013, which was launched last year in China targeting the high-end business market, as well as the SCH-W999 from the previous year. Furthermore, the exact price and release date of the Galaxy Folder are currently unknown.
