Standing at the perspective of national interests, there indeed exists monopoly threat from large international software manufacturers in China. On one hand, they squeeze out competitors through bundling and on the other hand, they create price discrimination via complex pricing strategies, which indirectly causes excessively high piracy rate in China's domestic software market. Zhang Qin, the deputy director of National Intellectual Property Administration expressed: "It's impossible for China to have such a high piracy rate. The issue of piracy rate has been demonized by foreign organizations."
