At last week's COMPUTEX 2008, AMD unveiled ATI XGP (External Graphics Platform) technology. This platform adopts an external PCI-E 2.0 interface and is mainly aimed at high-end laptop users. This external graphics card uses the ATI Mobile Radeon HD 3800 display core and can be connected to a laptop via a 4.0Gbps PCIe 2.0 interface. It also supports up to four displays simultaneously.
