Intel shows 80-core supercomputing processor

Intel hosted a Research Intel Day yesterday at the Computer Museum in the US, showcasing part of the results from its annual USD 6 billion experimental research investment. Among the over 70 partial research results from Intel Labs displayed, the scope included life sciences, visual computing, environmental protection and energy saving, and other fields, providing a glimpse into the impact of computer technology on future lives.
