Microsoft: Windows Server 2008 saves 10% on power

Microsoft claimed that Windows Server 2008 system was 10% more energy-efficient than its previous server systems in a recently published white paper. This result was obtained from a test comparing Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise x64 Edition + SP2 and Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition running on a dual-processor with dual-core processor + 4GB RAM.
