Since the official introduction of China’s 3G standard TD-SCDMA network on April 1st this year, mobile phone manufacturers all over the world have launched their TD-SCDMA phones in accordance with the TD-SCDMA network standard. Motorola L800T and Dopod S700 are the first 3G phones that support the TD-SCDMA network launched by two giant mobile phone companies. In order not to let other mobile phone manufacturers monopolize the market, Philips has recently launched its first dual-mode 3G phone TM700 which supports both GSM and TD-SCDMA networks, aiming at taking the lead in entering the yet immature Chinese 3G mobile phone market.
