It was reported that Maxthon browser announced that it would abandon the IE browser kernel which had been adopted since 2004 and develop an independent browser kernel.
According to a relevant Maxthon executive, although Maxthon has been developed based on the IE kernel, it has never stopped paying attention to other browser kernels. This recruitment of browser kernel development engineers indicates that Maxthon plans to do more research on non-IE kernels, and maybe very soon everyone will see a brand-new Maxthon browser.
