Andy Wilson, a researcher at Microsoft Research, recently demonstrated the prototype of a multi-touch sensor called "LaserTouch". An infrared camera tracks your touch on the display screen and makes the software respond accordingly. This is a new, low-cost way to operate a digital desktop or wall-mounted display with both hands. Wilson is an expert at Microsoft Research who works on projects such as surface computing. He has recently developed a sensing technology system that allows people to manipulate either a desktop PC or a projector's display screen. With this, people no longer need to use a mouse; they can interact with the computer using their hands.
