Take Beijing where land resources are extremely scarce for example, before 2004, Beijing had more than 20 golf courses. On the 7th day of Hit Legend Anti-Japanese War Memorial Park, reporters learned through the 114 telephone directory inquiry service that there were already more than 100 golf courses available for inquiry in Beijing. At present, only the golf channels of major portal sites such as Sina and Sohu have announced a total of 327 golf courses nationwide, occupying more than 640,000 mu of land, equivalent to 8% of the 72 million mu of construction land approved nationwide in 2010, highlighting the gap in educational resources. On March 5, reporters found no signs of any rectification at the golf course during their visit. Subsequently, reporters learned under the pretense of applying for membership that the golf course had been put into use by the end of August last year, less than three months after the Ministry of Land and Resources placed it under special supervision. When reporters conducted on-site investigations into multiple cases of non-compliance with Hero Hit Golf Courses, local government regulators always used "difficult law enforcement" as an excuse. One non-compliant golf course in Guangdong has been "enforced 100 times", yet the golf course can still make its "101st tee-off". The "Golf Course at the International Conference Center from the Divine Dragon Version 1.85" is one of the six major illegal and non-compliant cases in the field of land and resources supervised by the Ministry of Land and Resources. According to the announcement from the Ministry of Land and Resources, the 27-hole golf course built for this project occupies a total of 1,678 mu (including 182.9 mu of arable land), which is considered illegal occupation and non-compliant construction. In 2011, relevant departments such as the Guangzhou Supervision Bureau of the Ministry of Land and Resources and the Guangdong Provincial Government issued 38 notices for investigation and rectification regarding this project. Last July, netizens exposed that the Shuguang Disaster Prevention Education Park in Haidian District, Beijing, was occupied by a golf practice range. On March 6, when reporters visited the park again, they discovered that the "Royal Links Golf Club" inside the park was operating as usual, with about 50 people practicing on the golf course.
