This morning, as soon as I turned on my computer, a hot news topic appeared on Baidu: "Rules for Girls to Save Their Lives." Out of curiosity, I clicked in to find out more. The content was a list named "[14 Rules for Girls to Remember That Can Save Your Life]" that was widely circulated among netizens. After reading it, I felt that most of the rules were quite correct and could play an active and effective role in preventing personal safety issues for women. However, some of them would be more comprehensive if revised by the police, because there are many different situations and dangers when encountering robbers or criminals. These rules cannot be applied in all situations, but should be used flexibly according to the actual situation. It is absolutely wrong to take risks blindly.
The first rule in this "[Self-rescue Handbook]" wrote: "Always remember, your elbow is the strongest part of your body. If you can use it, you must use it." But in fact, the knee is the most powerful part of the human body, and the attacking effect and range of the knee far exceed those of the elbow. When a robber asks for your wallet, what should you do? The life-saving tip suggests throwing your wallet far away so that when the robber goes to pick it up, you run in the opposite direction. However, the police in Jiangning corrected this, stating that if the robber is masked, following this advice may be dangerous, and if the robber is not masked, throwing the wallet might backfire.
"If a robber breaks into your house to steal things, you can go to the balcony or any place where you can contact the outside world, or hear someone at the door, please take everything that can make noise and shout for help." Is this feasible in real dangerous situations? Girls must remember the advice from the Jiangning police: "This is extremely incorrect. Shouting for help is useless. The premise is to ensure your own safety. For example, if you retreat into a room and lock the door, then shouting for help on the balcony is acceptable. But if the conditions for shouting for help are not available, never take unnecessary risks!" In addition, there is also a problem with the eighth rule in the "[Self-rescue Handbook]": "If you are thrown into the trunk of a car by a bad person, you need to kick the rear light of the car hard. Once the rear light is kicked off, stretch your arm out of the hole and wave it. The driver may not see you, but other cars will." The police stated: "Incorrect, unless the robber is deaf. If you are in a place with many people and cars, you can do this, but if you are in a deserted area, doing this will only provoke the robber."
