A few years ago, an unemployed young man applied for a janitorial position at Microsoft Corporation. The HR manager tested him by assigning him to clean the floors. The young man worked very diligently. "You've done a great job," the HR manager said. "Now please tell me your email address so that after we review, I can send you the relevant forms and acceptance notice."

The young man replied, "I don't have a computer or an email address."

"I'm sorry," the HR manager said, "in this era, not having an email address basically means you don't exist. A person like that cannot apply for a job at Microsoft."

Disappointed, the young man left the company. He only had 10 dollars in his pocket and didn't know what he could do to make a living. Later, he bought a basket at the supermarket and used the remaining money to buy some tomatoes at the vegetable wholesale market. He went door-to-door selling these tomatoes. In less than two hours, his capital doubled. He repeated this process three times and when he returned home, he had 60 dollars in his pocket. The young man realized this was a viable way to make a living, so he started working early every morning and coming home late at night, with his income increasing continuously. Soon, he bought a handcart. Later, he purchased a truck, then several transport vehicles. Five years later, the young man became one of the largest food retailers in the United States. He began planning for the future and decided to purchase insurance. He invited an insurance agent to consult about insurance matters. After their conversation ended, the insurance agent asked him for his email address. The young man replied, "I don't have an email address."

The insurance agent widened his eyes in surprise and said, "You have already established a business on this scale. Have you ever thought about what achievements you would have now if you had an email address?"

The young man thought for a moment and answered, "I think I would be a janitor at Microsoft!"
