Perming Purpose (How to beautify hair? How to achieve the purpose of perming? What is the purpose of perming?)
1. Aesthetic Fashion Increase self-confidence
2. Increase hair volume
3. Change hair flow direction
4. Modify head shape and face shape
Analysis of Chemicals
1. Classification of chemicals
Resistant, normal, damaged.
Choose appropriate perm chemicals based on different hair types.
Agent No.1 (Softening Agent)
1. Ethanolamine; Alkaline substance Only it can break the strongest disulfide bonds in hair.
2. Ammonia; (Ammonia water) Alkaline substance Can expand hair, open cuticle, allow other components to enter.
3. Moisturizer; Maintain hair humidity and luster, replenish moisture and nutrients.
4. Fragrance; Mask ammonia odor.
5. Water
Agent No.2 (Oxidizing Agent)
1. Brominating agent; Fix chain bond structure.
2. Sodium peroxide; Reconstruct disulfide bonds, oxidize chain bonds to fix shape.
Agent No.3; Post-perm care Close cuticles, remove residual alkaline components, restore hair luster.
Chemical Process of Perming
Through ammonia opening the cuticle, disulfide bonds are broken by ethanolamine. Then through curling rods change the chain bond structure, use brominating agent and sodium peroxide from Agent No.2 to fix the shape. (Fission reaction - forcing displacement - recombination - position fixation)
Washing;
Use professional shampoo (cannot damage scalp as ethanolamine is a very irritating alkaline component)
Do not massage
Time should not be too long
Do not apply conditioner
Hair Trimming;
Layering is preferably even or gradually increasing layers
Technique
1. Water Rolling Method; Apply rollers when hair is wet, then apply chemicals.
2. Chemical Rolling Method; Apply chemicals first, then rollers. (Foil Perm)
(Disadvantages: Unequal time, inconsistent curls)
1. Applying Chemicals; Hair should not be too dry or too wet. Evenly apply to each section of hair.
2. Unroll to 2-3 circles towards the root, form loops.
3. Time; Healthy hair 10-20 minutes
Fine soft hair 10-15 minutes
Damaged hair 5-10 minutes
Rinsing; (Do not unroll) Water temperature should not be too high. Use a towel to absorb water, then apply Agent No.2 (time 10 minutes).
Rinse; Gently pat with hands, do not pull. Do not use shampoo. Warm water rinse while applying conditioner, rinse thoroughly, and requirements are met.
PS; For general hair quality; unroll first, then rinse.
For damaged hair quality; rinse first, then unroll.
Water flow should not be too strong, otherwise it will ruin the hairstyle.
