The world's most durable incandescent light bulb is still shining. According to Xinhua News Agency, an incandescent bulb in California has been working since its installation and will celebrate its 110th birthday on the 18th. This "resilient" bulb has made it into the Guinness World Records and has attracted researchers and people from all over the United States to come and take a look.

This bulb is installed in a fire station in Livermore, California, and was donated by a local electricity operator to the fire department in 1901. It initially had some issues and was off for a while due to power outages. Over more than 100 years, it has changed positions several times.

Lynn Owens, who is responsible for organizing the 110th birthday celebration of the bulb, told Time magazine that this bulb is 60 watts, but now when it is turned on, it is generally only adjusted to 4 watts. As for why it has never broken, "no one can explain how this could happen."

"It has always been able to shine," said Owens. "We have invited researchers from all over the country to come and see this bulb."

The designer of this bulb is Adolphe Chaillet. More than a hundred years ago, Chaillet held a competition with Thomas Edison, the inventor of the light bulb, to see who could make the best light bulb in town.

Given that more and more people want to see this bulb in person, some websites have timely published "spectator guides": walk to the back door of the fire station, press the doorbell, and a firefighter will come to open the door; if no one answers, you can look through the glass window, the bulb is at the top of the wall near the left side. If you want to contact the fire station directly, the phone number is...

Although this bulb is still "alive", a local museum has already informed the fire station that it will be moved to the museum in the future.
