Some disharmonious voices about earthquake relief

The earthquake in Sichuan, and the nationwide disaster relief efforts should have united everyone in solidarity and mutual support. However, during this process, some disharmonious voices have emerged that are infuriating, such as:

Online rumors about the ominous number 888, the Fuwa mascots representing five major disasters, or someone who predicted 9/11 also predicting the Wenchuan earthquake... These are simply absurdities that mislead the public. Discussing these things that are meaningless to earthquake relief efforts, what help does it provide? What purpose does spreading them serve? Those who have spread such information should feel ashamed. If you think this information is entertaining or interesting, then you are nothing but a ridiculous person! If you receive this kind of information, please do not forward it, and immediately correct the person spreading it.

There are also online rumors about people from a certain country gloating over our earthquake disaster, calling for a boycott of that country. First, the authenticity of this information is questionable. Second, even if the information is true, please understand that most people's hearts are good. We don't need to negate an entire country because of a few bad elements; just as we shouldn't negate the determination of the Chinese people to fight against the earthquake due to some individuals spreading disruptive words! Therefore, when someone spreads this kind of information, please stop them immediately, and certainly don't assist in spreading it.

Regarding donations, the amount is up to each individual, based on their ability to give. Those with money can donate money, those with strength can contribute effort. Because everyone's specific situation is different, please do not use the amount of donation as a standard to measure personal morality. At the same time, I want to say to those who resist donating: if you don't want to donate, that's fine, no one will force you. You can choose not to donate, but you cannot make sarcastic comments. To my knowledge, a well-known large company had such an incident: two people joked in the elevator after donating: "People are dead, why donate? Can we donate counterfeit money?" They were overheard by other colleagues, and soon the whole company knew about it. The company leaders even specially checked the surveillance video to find these two people. I say, if you have such people around you, please cut ties with them immediately. If your company has such people, please fire them right away, or call on the company to fire them!

All online media and websites, please do not take advantage of the earthquake to engage in any traffic-grabbing or attention-seeking activities. I've previously mentioned the anti-seismic building special feature on Soufang.com, and the entertainment-oriented disaster relief news on NetEase. Here, I must strongly condemn Baidu for creating a "Disaster Relief Corporate Love Ranking." On what basis do they use the amount of donations as a criterion for measuring love? On what basis do they deprive others of the right to quietly show love? On what basis do they provide a platform for hypocritical companies to put on a show? On what basis does Baidu exclusively enjoy the "honor" of being "up to now"? How does Baidu know that others won't "be up to now"?
