Domestic mobile phone manufacturers are not doing well, and this is no longer news. As one of the leading figures in domestic mobile phones, Bird not only greatly reduced sales last year, but also incurred a loss of 5.9 billion yuan. In view of the "collective inaction" of other domestic mobile phone manufacturers in terms of performance, in my opinion, the reason for the problem is the collective unconsciousness of mobile phone manufacturers at the strategic level. Take Bird as an example, the development history of Bird in nearly 10 years has basically been an opportunity-driven growth history. In 1997, Bird's sales were about 400 million yuan, and in 2003, it broke through 10 billion yuan for the first time, but in 2007, it fell back to 4.5 billion yuan. This roller-coaster like performance curve basically represents the typical development course of Chinese mobile phone manufacturers.
