Samsung succeeds in developing AM OLED notebook panels

The AM OLED (Active Matrix/Organic Light Emitting Diode) panel is a new generation of display technology. Compared with the current TFT LCD technology, AM OLED has faster response speed, higher contrast, and basically no viewing angle issues. This is mainly because AM OLED does not require a backlight panel; it only needs to emit light by itself, which allows it to be made very lightweight and thin. Moreover, its power consumption is much lower than that of LCD, and overall, the cost is much lower in comparison.
