Our staff reporter (Li Jie) - After being involved in a traffic accident that resulted in the death of a Tibetan Mastiff, Ms. Lü from Lin潭 County paid 33,000 yuan to the dog's owner following negotiations. Afterwards, she filed a lawsuit against the insurance company to claim the insurance money. Recently, the Chengguan District Court of Lanzhou City ruled in the first trial that the insurance company should pay Ms. Lü the full amount of the insurance compensation.

Ms. Lü is from Lin潭 County. Years ago, she purchased a small passenger bus and insured it with an insurance company. On May 3, 2010, while driving in Maqu County, her car hit and killed a Tibetan Mastiff. Under the coordination of the local police station, Ms. Lü paid 33,000 yuan as compensation to the owner of the mastiff. Afterwards, when Ms. Lü presented the insurance documents to request compensation from the insurance company, her request was denied.

After reviewing the case, the court determined that since the insurance company had not provided relevant evidence to refute the value of the Tibetan Mastiff at 33,000 yuan, their argument was not recognized. Therefore, the court sentenced the insurance company to pay Ms. Lü 33,000 yuan in insurance compensation.
