Nowadays, many people like to keep pets, especially middle-aged and elderly people who regard their pets as their own children. Therefore, they are also cautious about the appearance of their pets. Dressing up their pets or giving them manicures makes their pets stand out and also improves their own mood. Next, we will talk about pet grooming, something you must be curious about!

Owners of Pekingese dogs know that this breed is also called the Imperial Lion Dog or Pekingese. It is a very ancient breed. The characteristics of Pekingese are its individuality and love for showing off, with an appearance resembling a lion.

Pekingese exude an aura of nobility and elegance. They are smart, lively, brave, but also have a gentle and cute temperament, capable of forming deep bonds with their owners. So, for the already beautiful Pekingese, how should we groom them to make them more fashionable and glamorous? Below are some simple methods for grooming Pekingese:

1. Brushing: Train your dog to sit properly in front of the grooming table. Use a pin brush to slowly brush from the dog's hindquarters to the forequarters against the direction of the hair. Use the same method for brushing the head, and finally brush the tail.

2. Cleaning: First, clean the dog's ears and nails, shave the footpad hair and belly hair. The water temperature for bathing should ideally be between 35°C and 38°C. Use a small amount of dog-specific shampoo diluted with water. Wash the dog starting by gently squeezing the anal glands with your thumb and index finger to clean them. When washing, start from the front of the dog and rinse towards the back. Apply the diluted shampoo on the dog's head and body, being careful not to let water enter the dog's eyes. Rub for a certain period of time, then thoroughly rinse the dog with clean water. If conditions allow, you can apply a bit of conditioner all over the dog's body.

3. Drying: While using a hairbrush to comb the dog's fur, use a hairdryer to dry the water droplets on the dog's body. After drying, use a comb to brush the dog's fur again to ensure there are no tangles.

4. Shaving: When shaving the dog, observe its movements closely to avoid any harm caused by the dog moving around. Based on the characteristics of the dog's fur and the desired appearance set by the owner, carefully trim the dog's fur.

5. Trimming: After shaving, comb the dog's fur again with a comb. Start from the dog's feet, then move to the waist, outer coat, back, head, chest, ears, and tail, trimming meticulously.

6. Choosing pretty clothing for your dog: First, measure the correct size for your dog, then choose the appropriate size and match it with the owner's preferences to select a beautiful outfit for the dog.
