The appearance of the new iPad has not changed, the Home button is retained; photos of the back of the new iPad have been released. The thickness of the new iPad is the same as the iPad 2, and there is almost no difference in appearance. External views of the venue for the Apple event have also been shown.

Sina Tech reported early on March 5th that the US tech blog M.I.C gadget had released a set of photos allegedly showing components of the new iPad. The photos indicate that the appearance of the new iPad is very similar to the iPad 2, and the Home button has not been removed.

In terms of storage space, the new iPad comes in three versions: 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB.

The price of the new iPad remains the same as the iPad 2. According to M.I.C gadget's guess, this might be because the new product does not include an LTE 4G communication module. Currently, the market for this latest technology is small, and it would increase the cost of the iPad. An informed source revealed that a future version of the new iPad may include this feature.

M.I.C gadget purchased some peripheral products reportedly related to the new iPad protective cases from Shenzhen, China. These products suggest that the back cover of the new iPad is similar to the iPad 2 and does not adopt a teardrop shape. It is claimed that the protective case and Smart Cover for the iPad 2 are also applicable to the new iPad.

Additionally, according to informed sources, Apple will launch a new generation of the Apple TV set-top box at the event starting at 2:00 AM Beijing Time on March 8th, with the price remaining the same as the old model. The new product will be equipped with an A5X processor, which improves the nanotechnology process, making it more energy-efficient and providing better temperature control.

M.I.C gadget also disclosed some information about Apple's R&D project codenamed "B28": Apple's R&D personnel stated that this project is related to Siri. However, the informed person did not disclose more details. (Yanfei)
