[Fig.] Acer officially releases a notebook with a 16:9 display

Acer announced its latest Gemstone Blue notebook on Thursday. The product was first announced in March. It has a 16/18-inch display and provides a widescreen 16:9 1080p display, allowing the notebook to play HD movies in full screen for the first time.

It is available in two models, the Aspire 6920 and 8920, depending on the size of the display. It has a media control panel on the left side of the keyboard, and its 2.1 sound system can simulate a Dolby 5.1 surround sound effect.
