Our reporter (Zhang Yingchuan) -- With the establishment of the Space Post Office on November 3, this small post office located at the edge of Beijing Aerospace City has become the focus of all stamp collectors in the city. Every day, there are more than a hundred stamp collectors who come here to buy philatelic items and affix postmarks, and the staff have to affix thousands of commemorative postmarks every day.
At about 4 pm yesterday afternoon, I saw in the Space Post Office that although it was already the post office's closing time, there were still many stamp collectors coming here to select philatelic items and affix postmarks.
According to the on-duty staff, the Space Post Office has recently launched more than ten commemorative postmarks, among which the "docking", "Shenzhou VIII", "Tiangong-1" and "Space Post Office" postmarks are particularly popular with stamp collectors. Every day, there are more than a hundred stamp collectors coming from afar, so they specially delay their closing time to serve the stamp collectors.
"The commemorative postcards can sell more than a thousand sets every day, and the postmarks can be affixed for thousands every day," said the staff. The latest time they delayed closing was until 6 pm.
