All of Intel's Ivy Bridge Processor Lineup Exposed
Tech Sinan News, March 3rd - Recently, a product list from Intel was leaked, revealing the complete Ivy Bridge processor lineup, including 17 desktop processors and 11 laptop processors.
Industry insiders noticed that six desktop processors and at least one laptop processor were missing from this list. However, most of these are low-end Core i3 processors.
On the desktop side, Intel will release several Core i5 processors, ranging from the low-end 2.3GHz i5-3570T to the high-end 3.4GHz i5-3570. Except for the dual-core 2.9GHz i5-3470T, all others in this category come with 6MB cache and do not feature Hyper-Threading technology. Most of these products integrate the HD 2500 graphics core; only two integrate the faster HD 4000.
For laptops, Intel’s entry-level offerings will include low-voltage Core i5 and i7 processors at 1.7GHz, 1.8GHz, and 2GHz. These are designed for Ultrabooks. Traditional dual-core processors will include 2.5GHz Core i5 and 2.9GHz Core i7 models. Among these, only the Core i7 processors use quad-core technology. These products target the high-end market and all come with Hyper-Threading technology and an HD 4000 graphics core.
Intel has previously stated that it will delay large-scale shipments of Ivy Bridge processors until June. However, according to the information in this product list, Intel will start shipping some of these processors as early as this spring. (Wegin)
