[Shanghai Xinmin Net • Exclusive Report] At about 9:15 am on November 30, an accidental fall occurred in the "Urban Garden" residential area at No. 1150 Baotou Road in Yangpu District. A six-year-old boy fell from the fifteenth floor while eagerly awaiting his parents' return on the balcony and, miraculously, survived.
The incident happened in Building No. 6 of Urban Garden. According to reports, the boy's surname is He, and he is six years old. On the morning of November 30, the boy's parents left home to run errands at the market, locking him inside. Out of boredom, the child brought over a stool and stood on it on the balcony waiting for his parents. Unfortunately, he lost his balance and fell off the balcony. Residents passing by downstairs witnessed this scene and immediately called emergency services. The boy landed on the grass, crying and able to talk, showing no apparent injuries apart from symptoms like nasal inflammation. According to residents, there were no clotheslines or other structures outside the residential building that could have cushioned the boy’s fall. His survival was considered nothing short of miraculous.
Upon inquiry with Changhai Hospital where the boy was admitted, it was found that the boy had suffered a mild liver contusion and bruising around both eyes. The police have registered the event as a criminal case. Additionally, the boy has multiple bruises but no life-threatening injuries. (Reported by Chen Hao, Shanghai Xinmin Evening News • Xinmin Net)
