Stacy's brother and sister-in-law brought her newborn daughter, Dotty, to her side. Dotty Stacy - The greatness of maternal love knows no bounds across time and culture. For their children, mothers can sacrifice everything, including their lives. Such a touching story happened in Oklahoma, USA. At only 41 years old, Stacy was suffering from cancer but chose to forego chemotherapy for the child in her womb. The baby was finally born safely, but Stacy passed away three days later.

On the 17th, the British Daily Mail reported this touching story.

Stacy had been told by doctors that she could not get pregnant. But this March, came the incredible news: she was pregnant! According to The Oklahoman, Stacy shared with laughter and tears with her brother Philip: "It's unbelievable!"

However, in the following days and weeks, as Stacy happily shopped for clothes and supplies for the upcoming baby, tragedy struck when she experienced severe headaches and double vision, along with tremors throughout her body. Stacy began telling Philip: "I'm worried about this baby. I hope I live long enough to give birth. If anything happens, please raise this child."

Encouraged by her family, Stacy saw several doctors in July. Unfortunately, CT scans confirmed that she had head and neck cancer.

Thus, Stacy had to make a choice: save herself or have the baby. Philip told The Oklahoman that Stacy abandoned potentially life-saving chemotherapy to bring the baby into the world.

On August 16, Stacy fell at home and was immediately rushed to the Oklahoma City Medical Center. The doctors said that the cancer had invaded her brainstem. Two days later, the fetal heart rate dropped, and Stacy’s heartbeat stopped. Doctors and nurses immediately made the only decision that could save the child: perform an emergency cesarean section. Thus, baby Dotty was born, weighing only one-third of the average newborn weight. Dotty was quickly given special neonatal care, while Stacy was transferred to another clinic for specialized treatment.

Three days after the baby's birth, she passed away peacefully.

Philip said his sister Stacy was struggling on the brink of death, almost fading away. A few days later, Stacy was pulled back from the brink of death and even tried to remove the ventilator at one point. Philip said that at this moment, he even saw the hope of a great miracle happening.

Unfortunately, the cancer cells had affected Stacy's vision and eroded her throat. Stacy was often unconscious and unable to sign her daughter Dotty's birth certificate.

Both Stacy and her daughter Dotty were too weak to be brought to each other. Philip said they wanted to show Stacy a picture of her child, but the doctor said Stacy couldn't see it. On September 8, Stacy temporarily stopped breathing and then woke up again. The doctors warned that Stacy was very close to death.

In this situation, nurse Beao didn’t want Stacy to suffer emotional torment and decided to do something for her. She and a few other nurses used a capsule-type "Intensive Care Unit" to bring Dotty to Stacy's side.

Philip deeply understood the compassion of the nurses, although he thought it was futile. But when Philip tentatively told Stacy that her daughter Dotty was coming to her, Stacy actually opened her eyes and eagerly looked for her daughter.

Soon, the nurses brought Dotty to Stacy and placed Dotty on Stacy's chest. The mother and daughter stared at each other for a few minutes.

Philip told reporters that no one spoke, and the ward was extremely quiet. Philip said to Stacy: "You've done a beautiful thing." Philip said that it was a perfect moment. Three days later, Stacy left the world.

Dotty now lives in Oklahoma City with her uncle Philip, aunt Jennifer, and their four children. Jennifer said: "I think Dotty is a miracle. I will fulfill Stacy's last wish, all for Dotty's happiness."
