Yangcheng Evening News report by Xie Ying: While walking on the road, a person was randomly abducted by three individuals into a car, had their bank card stolen, and was forced to reveal their password. The victim thought they were being robbed! It turned out that the three individuals were actually police officers from another region who had mistaken him for a criminal while investigating a case in Dongguan. At around 2 PM on November 29th, Mr. Xiong, who does business in Houjie Town of Dongguan City, encountered such an incident. On the 30th, the Houjie police reported that the three men were indeed plainclothes police officers from Heilongjiang Province who had come to Dongguan to execute a mission. Afterwards, the police officers admitted to "arresting the wrong person" and apologized to the victim, Mr. Xiong Min. The aftermath has been handled according to relevant regulations.
At around 2 PM on the 29th, Mr. Xiong Min, the boss of a factory in Houjie Town, Dongguan, went to a bank at Mingfeng Plaza to make a transfer. After finishing the transaction and leaving the bank, three unfamiliar men in plain clothes suddenly rushed towards him, forcibly pulling him into a car and demanding his bank card password. Mr. Xiong Min's cousin, Mr. Hong, told reporters: "At that time, my cousin thought he was being robbed and struggled fiercely, resulting in physical conflict with the abductors. The other party did not reveal their identity throughout." In this critical moment, Mr. Xiong Min cleverly pretended to have a heart attack, prompting the three men to send him to the hospital. Mr. Hong said that as soon as they arrived at the hospital, Mr. Xiong Min took advantage of the situation when the three men weren't paying attention, quietly asking a nurse to call the police.
Mr. Hong mentioned that after receiving the alarm, the Houjie police immediately took Mr. Xiong Min and the three men back to the Public Security Bureau. It was then revealed that the three men were public security police officers from Heilongjiang who had come to Dongguan to carry out an arrest mission for a fraud suspect.
Subsequently, the reporter verified with the Houjie Town Public Security Bureau in Dongguan. A relevant leader from the command center of the Houjie Public Security Bureau informed the reporter that after receiving the report, they promptly verified the identities of the three men as police officers from Heilongjiang and confirmed the fact that these three police officers had come to Dongguan to arrest a telecommunications fraud suspect. The conflict between the Heilongjiang police and Mr. Xiong Min on the street was not due to what Mr. Xiong Min's family claimed about "finding a nurse to call the police at the hospital"; instead, the Houjie police repeatedly confirmed with the "110" command center and the police station that they only received a call for help from a Heilongjiang police officer surnamed Dong. The Houjie police stated that after controlling Mr. Xiong Min, the Heilongjiang police had shown their police credentials to him, contrary to what Mr. Xiong Min's family claimed, i.e., "the other party did not reveal their identity throughout."
The reporter subsequently proposed to interview the three Heilongjiang police officers, but they declined the interview citing "interviews need approval from their superior department."
Afterwards, the reporter repeatedly questioned the key issues such as "whether it was Mr. Xiong Min who called the police through a nurse at the hospital or whether the Heilongjiang police actively called the police" and "whether the police showed their credentials," but the victim, Mr. Xiong Min, never appeared. His cousin, Mr. Hong, replied that the matter had been resolved and Mr. Xiong Min himself did not wish to be interviewed.
By the time the reporter finished writing the article, the Houjie police responded: The three Heilongjiang police officers had already apologized to Mr. Xiong Min. Under the mediation of the Houjie police, Mr. Xiong Min and the Heilongjiang police reached a reconciliation agreement and signed an agreement.
Police bulletin:
At 17:32 on November 29th, the Houjie Public Security Bureau received a phone call for help from a Heilongjiang police officer surnamed Dong, stating that they had sent a suspect to Renkang Hospital for emergency treatment and requested assistance. Upon receiving the report, the bureau police arrived at the scene and learned that a Heilongjiang police officer named Dong Xiangjiang claimed that he and two colleagues had arrested a man named Xiong in Houjie Town suspected of telephone fraud. Xiong claimed to be sick when captured, so Dong Xiangjiang and his colleagues sent Xiong to a hospital in Houjie Town for treatment. During Xiong's treatment in the hospital, he shouted that he was being robbed, prompting Dong Xiangjiang to call 110 for help.
Upon arrival, the responding police took Xiong and Dong et al. back to the Houjie Public Security Bureau. After arriving at the bureau, Xiong became emotionally agitated, complaining that the Heilongjiang police had arrested the wrong person. The Houjie Public Security Bureau organized relevant departments to negotiate with Xiong and others in the petition room.
After investigation, it was confirmed that Xiong was not a criminal suspect. On November 30th, after coordination by the Houjie Public Security Bureau, Xiong and the Heilongjiang police reached a reconciliation agreement and signed an agreement, resolving the incident satisfactorily.
