No operator is willing to transfer its core operation revenue to mobile phone manufacturers. However, the sudden emergence of iPhone has broken the "practice" in the telecommunication industry which had been inherited for many years.
On May 7, Vodafone, a globally renowned mobile operator, announced that it had signed a contract with Apple Inc. to launch the latter's iPhone in ten countries including India. Therefore, on Vodafone's global mobile network, there will be added users at the "feverish fan" level from Apple. For Apple which newly steps into the telecommunication industry, this is just another "embellishment" for its popular iPhone.
