According to our press, he is "Sheng Xiang" in the spy drama "Undercover", and the secret agent Yan Hui in "The East is Red 1949". He has played important supporting roles in many TV works and has been interviewed by multiple media outlets. However, no one would have thought that he was a fugitive who had fled from assaulting a police officer 13 years ago. Recently, the Tiefeng Public Security Bureau of Qiqihar captured the suspect Ji SiGuang.
Regarding whether he was afraid of being recognized on TV, Ji SiGuang said that, on the one hand, the incident happened more than ten years ago, and his appearance has changed. On the other hand, although he played different supporting roles in over 30 TV series and frequently appeared on screen, each role he played was different, but with few lines. Initially, he was somewhat worried, but as time went on, his concerns gradually diminished. However, he never dared to watch himself on TV. Whenever a TV series he acted in was broadcast, he did not dare to watch it and immediately changed the channel, fearing that one day he would be discovered by the police. Until his arrest, he was still playing a monk in the newly filmed TV series "Shaolin Tiger". The drama had already filmed over 30 scenes.
Due to his talent for acting and his "righteous" personality, he quickly gained the favor of many directors. A famous director once let him play supporting roles in multiple TV series, allowing him to transcend the stage of playing background actors. In the past few years, the suspect Ji SiGuang successively played the head of the Confidential Bureau Archives Department Sheng Xiang in "Undercover", the big spy Yan Hui in "The East is Red 1949", the chief eunuch Cui Ran in "Divine Doctor Daogong", and multiple supporting roles in recently aired films and TV series such as "Secret History of Empress Wu" and "Tang Palace Beauties in the World".
After trial, the suspect Ji SiGuang confessed without reservation to the crime facts of assaulting a police officer and stealing a gun in collusion with others. He admitted that to avoid punishment, Ji SiGuang fled to Shenzhen and other places, eventually "lying low" in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, where he disguised himself as a Shandong native "Zhang Guofeng". Initially, he made a living by acting as an extra in Hengdian Film City in Jinhua, Zhejiang. Due to his past experience in broadcasting and hosting, he felt that he had better artistic talents and believed that being an actor was better than working. After trying out several roles, the responsible person was relatively satisfied with Ji SiGuang and thus retained him.
On the evening of December 6, 1998, Detective Yang Lin of the Tiefeng Branch of the Qiqihar Public Security Bureau and his wife were followed by three thugs while walking on the street and were robbed. After the incident, the Qiqihar and Tiefeng public security authorities quickly formed a special investigation team to discover and capture the suspect Wei Mou who was investigating the situation. Within two days, they arrested Li Mou and Liu Mou. However, another suspect, Ji SiGuang, remained at large.
To capture the suspect Ji SiGuang as soon as possible, on December 7, the arrest group adopted multiple strategies, traced along the clues, and ultimately locked down Ji SiGuang's whereabouts. They conducted a comprehensive search and control of the possible hiding places of Ji SiGuang and targeted stakeouts at key locations. After a period of surveillance, the police captured the 39-year-old suspect Ji SiGuang in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province.
