At 6 o'clock in the morning of the 15th, a rescue team composed of more than 300 people entered the mountain. The rescuers shouted while searching. Armed police soldiers went up the mountain with steamed buns for the rescue operation. The family of the missing female hiker joined the rescue team to search for their relative. All photos in this edition were taken by reporter Liu Li. On February 15th, our Taian reporter Zhou Qianqian reported that on the 15th day, over 300 rescue personnel conducted an exhaustive search for the missing female hiker from Jinan who disappeared on Mount Tai. The rescue personnel found the location where the missing female hiker and the rescued hiker parted ways at a hillside but did not find the female hiker. At 6 o'clock in the morning of the 15th, various rescue teams gathered at the Taishan Peach Blossom Valley Police Station. This rescue team was joined by over 100 members from the Taian Armed Police Brigade. Together with the Taian Fire Department, Public Security Bureau, and Mount Tai Scenic Area staff, there were over 300 people in total. "Based on the male hiker's recollections and several searches inside the mountain, it is now basically determined that the area where the female hiker disappeared is on both sides of the Jingchongyu River Gully. Today, we will focus on conducting an exhaustive search of these four square kilometers, not overlooking a single patch of grass, cliff, or stone stream, sparing no expense to save her," said Director Gong Enkui of the Mount Tai Scenic Area Safety Office. The rescue team split into three directions, surrounding the area near the Jingchongyu River Gully and searching nearby gullies and ridges. Because each gully looked similar, the rescue team searched three gullies one after another but none of them were where the female hiker was located. Based on the original 4-kilometer range, the rescue team expanded the search area. The rescued hiker "Chenfu" said that he had made a mark at the place where he parted ways with the female hiker, making three cuts on three trees respectively. Following this clue, the rescue personnel split into multiple groups and continued the search around the ridges and gullies near Jingchongyu. The search routes were all on the slopes and valleys, with basically no path to walk on. The snow on the shaded side of the mountain reached 20 centimeters, and many stone paths were completely frozen. The steepest slope reached 70 degrees, forcing the rescue personnel to slowly slide down the mountain. At 4:30 PM, two rescue team members told reporters that they discovered three trees with knife marks at a hillside. Forty firefighters reorganized into a team, equipped with lighting equipment and stretchers, and rushed to this location. By 8 PM, the rescue personnel arrived at the target position but did not find any trace of the female hiker. As of 9 PM when the reporter went to press, the rescue operation was still ongoing.
