II. In-car Wire Short Circuit

When a short circuit occurs and a large current is instantly generated, the fuse will quickly melt. Additionally, a short circuit between the battery live wire (positive pole wire) and the metal body of a single-wire system vehicle can also cause a fire.
III. Dangerous Goods Leading to Fire
When talking about dangerous goods, people often think only of large oil tankers, unaware that everyday items like lighters, perfumes, mousse, etc., are also dangerous goods that can cause car fires. Placing these items in parts of the car easily exposed to focused sunlight poses a certain risk of fire. If these items ignite other flammable components inside the car, the consequences can be equally serious.
IV. Improper Parking Location
Some spontaneous combustion accidents are caused by external factors. For example, improper parking locations can easily lead to surrounding objects catching fire, eventually causing the car itself to catch fire. Therefore, this involves parking safety issues. During the hot summer, attention should be paid to whether there are flammable materials under the car, such as dry grass or paper piles. After driving, the temperature of the three-way catalytic converter under the car is relatively high, generally around 300°C to 400°C, and in summer, the temperature may be even higher, possibly even burning the entire device red. If there are flammable materials under the car at this time, they can easily be ignited by the three-way catalytic converter, leading to the car catching fire.
Prevention of Car Spontaneous Combustion:
Firstly, daily inspections are indispensable. Aging internal components of the vehicle are an important cause of car spontaneous combustion. Therefore, car owners should frequently inspect and maintain their vehicles.
Secondly, equip with good fire extinguishers. Fire extinguishers are essential emergency devices for vehicles. Car owners should learn the correct usage method of fire extinguishers during normal times so that they can promptly conduct self-rescue in case of an accident.
Thirdly, do not leave dangerous items in the car. Besides gasoline, diesel, and other dangerous items, attention should also be paid to daily life items such as lighters, perfumes, air fresheners, etc., which are also dangerous goods that can cause car fires.
Fourthly, remain calm after danger occurs. Most spontaneous combustion incidents show signs beforehand, such as local smoke or a burnt smell. If the car owner notices any abnormalities, they should immediately stop the car and must not panic. Many car fires can be extinguished in the early stages, but often due to the owner's panic, huge losses are incurred. After a fire occurs, one should report it as soon as possible while ensuring personal safety and try to use the in-car fire extinguisher or other firefighting equipment for initial firefighting.
