Determination of CNC machining center fixtures: Determination of large-scale CNC machining center fixtures:

A. Basic requirements for fixtures:

1. The clamping mechanism must not interfere with feeding, and the machining area should be open.

2. The fixture should allow for oriented installation on the machine tool.

3. The rigidity and stability of the fixture should be good, especially for large mold processing.

B. Common types of fixtures:

1. General-purpose fixtures: such as vices, indexing heads, chucks, etc.

2. Modular fixtures: composed of a set of standardized structural components and dimensionally specified general elements.

3. Special-purpose fixtures: specifically designed and manufactured for one or a few similar machining operations.

4. Adjustable fixtures: a combination of modular and special-purpose fixtures that ensure machining accuracy while providing more flexible clamping.

5. Multi-station fixtures: capable of clamping multiple workpieces simultaneously.

6. Group fixtures: specifically used for clamping workpieces that are similar in shape, size, and have identical or similar positioning, clamping, and machining methods.

C. Principles for selecting machining center fixtures:

1. Under the premise of ensuring machining accuracy and production efficiency, priority should be given to general-purpose fixtures.

2. For batch processing, simple special-purpose fixtures can be considered.

3. For mass production, multi-station fixtures and high-efficiency pneumatic/hydraulic special-purpose fixtures can be considered.

4. When using group technology, group fixtures should be used.
