Tianyi Space App Factory [http://www.189works.com]: On February 29, according to foreign media reports, Apple officially sent out invitations to the media for an event scheduled at 10:00 AM Pacific Time on March 7 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco to unveil the next-generation iPad.
The invitation reads: "We have something you really have to see. And touch."
From the image provided on Apple's invitation, it is clear that the next-generation iPad will not feature a regular display; the new screen apparently boasts an extremely high resolution.
Apple's invitation did not disclose more detailed information about the next-generation iPad.
CNBC, citing anonymous sources, reported that the next-generation iPad will be equipped with a quad-core CPU, support 4G LTE functionality, and will go on sale on March 9.
According to well-known journalist Mark Gurman from the foreign media outlet 9to5Mac, Apple will also release an upgraded version of the Apple TV set-top box alongside the iPad 3. This updated model will include a new chip capable of playing 1080p full HD video.
