Dongguan Aims to Become an "IT Brand City"

Dongguan has already established itself as a renowned global IT hub, and its next goal is to become an "IT Brand City." In reality, much of Dongguan's IT industry currently relies on OEM (original equipment manufacturing) production, which involves manufacturing products under the buyer's brand name. This method results in lower added value compared to using original brands. To address this issue, Dongguan is actively working on creating high-value-added original brands, implementing a strategy to upgrade from being the world's factory to a "brand production base."

This is Songshan Lake Science and Technology Industrial Park located in the suburbs of Dongguan.
