The public prosecutor stated that the fact that An and Li beat each other was objectively true, but it was not a justifiable reason for An to stab Li with a knife. "Labor-capital disputes do not necessarily lead to criminal cases and can be resolved through proper channels," and accused An of stabbing Li which resulted in his death. After the attack, An took a taxi alone to Hebei. On July 1 last year, he was captured while waiting for a bus in Hebei.
According to the report by the reporter Pei Xiaolan, due to labor-capital disputes, An is suspected of stabbing his boss to death with a knife. Recently, while losing weight and enhancing breast development, An went on trial at the Second Intermediate People's Court of the city on suspicion of intentional injury.
An said that when he was going downstairs, Li blocked him from leaving. In order to get away quickly, he stabbed Li.
An, a native of Henan Province, started working at a stone company in Chaoyang District last March. His son and wife also worked there and lived in the dormitory. Last June, because the company did not give An a raise, he decided to resign along with his family.
On June 29, when An was settling his salary with the finance department, he thought the company had deducted too much for accommodation and meals, leading to an argument with the boss's wife. After being persuaded to stop, he encountered the boss Li in the workshop, and they had another conflict. An said that after being separated, Li cursed at him and said he would call someone to kill him. Therefore, An went back to the dormitory and called his family to prepare to leave, taking a watermelon-cutting knife with him.
During the trial, Li's family attended the court and claimed compensation of over 1.15 million yuan. An expressed willingness to compensate but had no personal property, hoping his family could compensate on his behalf, and apologized to the deceased's family.
The case was not announced in court.
