Zhang Zhiwei, a lawyer who has been a volunteer for multiple charitable organizations over a long period of time, believes that the autopsy of Yi Yi's body is a private matter for her family. The young man thought his stepmother was speaking ill of him and so he stabbed her to death. The person who uploaded the photos transmitted them without permission, which violated the privacy rights of Yi Yi's family. The content of the Weibo post combined with the autopsy photos caused the public, who were unaware of the truth, to misunderstand the Children Hope Foundation (Er Xi Hui), thus violating their reputation rights.

The Children Hope Foundation stated that due to the extremely graphic nature of the leaked autopsy photos of Yi Yi that were spread online, netizens began questioning whether charitable institutions were involved in the illegal trade of children’s organs, bringing harm to both Yi Yi's family and the foundation itself. "In order to restore dignity for the deceased Yi Yi and her family, the Children Hope Foundation has already reported the unauthorized online dissemination of the autopsy photos to the police, and we will assist the authorities in conducting an investigation."

"Both Yi Yi's family and the Children Hope Foundation can file a civil lawsuit to seek compensation," Zhang Zhiwei said yesterday. Currently, he is assisting the Children Hope Foundation in preparing to file a lawsuit against the person responsible for uploading the autopsy photos in order to hold them accountable.
