A person's life cannot be without ideals or goals. A good goal can motivate us to learn and improve, even through outdoor training exercises. As the saying goes, the lotus flower rises from the mud but remains unstained. I think that clean sunlight and air might be the growth goals of the lotus flower. In the wilderness crossing activities organized by the outdoor training company, many people are afraid of the long journey. But once you have set your goal for moving forward and take steady steps, victory will not be far away. Regarding setting goals on the path forward, there are many such examples in our lives. However, having high goals does not mean that our actions must be radical; we still need a good judgment about our goals.

Take the story of a frail woman who, at middle age, loses her chivalrous husband to an enemy’s attack. She retreats to a remote place, diligently practices martial arts, eventually becoming one of the greatest warriors in the land, avenging her husband’s death. This is a common plot in wuxia novels. Or consider the case of a boy who performs poorly in all his subjects but, driven by his love for the top female student, works hard and finally enters a prestigious university with her. People who have been through high school would recognize this scenario. Then there is the junior employee at a top-tier company, tired of being ordered around and unwilling to live like a worm forever. He squeezes out time to study and eventually wins a public competition within the company. Such stories make the so-called "elite" graduates from prestigious universities grit their teeth in jealousy.

When you, as a lowly soldier, look up to the general, believe that you too will stand on the command platform. When you're a new employee, already see yourself sitting in the supervisor's chair, signing off on piles of documents. When you sit late into the night before your computer, typing with only a piece of bread for sustenance, already imagine yourself in a bustling book signing event at the bookstore.
