December 9th in Beijing, today the BWF announced the host cities for the 2013 and 2014 Badminton World Championships. Guangzhou has won the right to host the 2013 championships, while Copenhagen, Denmark has been awarded the right to host the 2014 championships. The hosting rights for the Sudirman Cup in 2013 will go to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The hosting rights for the Sudirman Cup in 2013 will go to Kuala Lumpur, marking the first time Malaysia will host the Sudirman Cup competition.
