I realized how deeply influenced I was by Singapore’s tourism advertisements as soon as I wrote this title. And just like that, in the Spring Festival of 2012, I set foot on the land of Singapore. After passing through customs and getting into a car, my head was full of question marks. How could this island country with only 710 square kilometers, one-ninth the size of Shanghai, become such a prosperous place? The guide's answer to us was strict laws, from chewing gum and cigarettes to anti-corruption and elections, Singapore has a set of laws that seem almost cruel to me, which regulate and market [http://www.xinge001.com].
Singapore's itinerary was a bit tight, but after a day, I truly felt the real charm of this "tiny country." When you come to Singapore, the Merlion Park is a must-visit. The Merlion statue was originally just a commercial logo, but since the 1960s, it has gradually become a symbol of Singapore. Around the Merlion Park are towering skyscrapers, offering an unobstructed view of Singapore's prosperity. The durian shell-shaped Esplanade Theatre, the Marina Bay Sands Hotel with the highest swimming pool marketing software [http://www.xinge001.com], the unique water football field, and the 165-meter tall Ferris wheel are all worth mentioning. Notably, each cabin of the Ferris wheel can accommodate 28 people, taking 38 minutes for a full circle, allowing you to overlook the entire Singapore.

Boat tours are a traditional part of travel, but each time they offer different rewards. The developing Thailand along the Chao Phraya River, the serene Nanjing along the Qinhuai River, and the dazzling Pudong along the Huangpu River. This time, on the Singapore River, I saw the fishing village of yesteryears marketing software [http://www.xinge001.com], the former British colony, the former concentration area for Chinese laborers, all renewed. Though still bearing obvious British imprints, it is steadfastly following its own path of development. Various differences, yet various integrations. Among them, the most distinctive is Clarke Quay, similar to Shanghai's Xintiandi or Hong Kong's Lan Kwai Fong. A variety of bars, open-air stages, and Singapore's nightlife is equally colorful. We happened to visit there on the night Liverpool and Manchester United were battling, the streets filled with fans sitting on the ground, quite lively.

The Universal Studios tour was undoubtedly the most attractive part of the whole trip. Designed based on various movie scenes, it is divided into seven themed areas: Hollywood, Future World, New York, Far Far Away, Lost World, Ancient Egypt, and Sci-Fi City, each with its own characteristics. In the New York theme area, we visited the movie special effects studio hosted by director Spielberg, truly experiencing how a vacant soundstage can instantly be transformed into New York City hit by a Category 5 hurricane; in the Hollywood theme area, we saw various monsters from Universal Studios dancing and singing in a rock musical, reminiscent of Broadway style; in the Far Far Away theme area, the 4-D movie made us feel even more immersed, and I still seem to feel the numerous spiders, Shrek's sneezes, and the bumpiness of horseback riding. Three hours flew by, and I reluctantly bid farewell to the place under the repeated urging of the tour guide. At that moment, a voice in my heart said: I will come back again, hahaha~

Besides the food, drink, and entertainment in the itinerary, I also recorded some of my observations about Singapore.
Shopping — From Little India, Chinatown to Orchard Road, each seems to have a distinct customer base. Little India mainly attracts local Indian populations and foreign tourists, rarely seeing Chinese people. Many products sold there are made in China, and the prices are relatively cheap. Chinatown, Singapore's Chinatown, feels a bit like Shanghai's Chenghuang Temple. It becomes lively during festivals, with buildings and goods very Chinese. The customer base is mainly older Chinese residents of Singapore. Orchard Road is like Shanghai's Nanjing Road, gathering tourists and locals, surrounded by shopping malls, creating a strong commercial atmosphere, making it Singapore's fashion hub.
Architecture — Originally a British colony, many buildings bear obvious British styles, while modern architecture predominates later. Residential buildings are well-maintained, with facades repainted and cleaned every five years. The first floor of houses is entirely designed to be open space, mainly for children to play and frolic. Neighborhoods or even buildings strictly specify racial mixing, "four chopsticks" style management maintaining the stability and unity of the entire country.
Life — Judging by Singapore's income levels, the overall price level is lower than Shanghai's, with subways, buses, and meals being quite affordable, something I envied greatly. The only expensive expenditure is private cars, from fully imported car prices, to the astonishing 70,000 Singapore dollar license plates valid for only 10 years, to the ubiquitous "ERP" electronic road pricing system. "Cars" might be the word that most Singaporeans feel both love and hate.
Fines — Singapore has strict laws, covering many categories, with many things we take for granted banned in Singapore. Some say, Singapore is a fine-fueled garden city. Regardless of others' feelings, I was quite nervous and cautious during my stay in Singapore.
Lee Kuan Yew once answered those who questioned Singapore's tourism industry like this: Do you want God to give us everything? Sunshine, having sunshine is enough! Yes, this fully importing country has now become a world-renowned resort and tourist destination. Here, modernity coexists with history, various races live together without chaos, happiness is felt without excess, so very unique, so distinctive!
