This article is from http://www.popworld.com.cn. A video of a haunted elevator in Shanghai appeared on major domestic video websites. Netizens in Shanghai have been posting on forums to debate the authenticity of the video. According to Xinmin Network, the video appears to be a recording from a building surveillance camera, about 1 minute and 49 seconds long, with the date in the top left corner showing "21/02/08" and the time being "00:27". At the beginning of the video, two men dressed like white-collar workers are waiting for the elevator; at the 50-second mark, both men enter the elevator, continuously talking, and there are only the two of them inside. At the 1 minute and 30 seconds mark, the elevator stops, and the two men walk out one after the other. At this moment, suddenly behind one of the men, an old hunched woman appears, slowly following the man, which is very terrifying. On the afternoon of May 7th, a switchboard operator at Shanghai Raffles City told Xinmin Network that some employees inside Raffles City have already seen this video, claiming that it is not the Raffles City in Shanghai, but rather seems to be somewhere else. The General Manager's secretary of Raffles City also confirmed that this is not the Raffles City in Shanghai, "it can be seen just from the appearance of the elevator."

Regarding whether Shanghai Raffles City will sue the netizen who posted the video, a responsible person in the public relations department who wished to remain anonymous stated that given the numerous flaws in the video, they believe netizens will not believe in such supernatural events, so Raffles City will not respond.

Additionally, according to Pop World Network, there is a Raffles Place office building in Singapore. In April, the local media Shin Min Daily did a report related to its "haunting", and the pictures cited in the report were screenshots from the aforementioned video. The report exposed four major flaws in this video, such as the "ghost shadow" in the film transforming from blurry to "solid", using the "motiontrail" feature in video editing software to create special effects, meaning the "ghost shadow" was filmed separately and then overlaid with the elevator footage; handheld cameras' night vision function would make the footage appear green, and generally closed-circuit television does not have this function. However, the footage in the "ghost shadow" video appears green, therefore it might not have been shot by closed-circuit television.
