**Exhibition Introduction:**
The 7th Iran International Auto Parts Exhibition 2012 is the largest auto parts exhibition in Iran, organized by the Iran Auto Parts Association, held annually. In 2011, the exhibition had over 1,200 overseas exhibitors. Exhibitors from the UK, China, USA, France, India, Germany, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, and the UAE attended this largest auto parts exhibition in Iran. Currently, Iran has approximately 2,000 auto parts factories and 650 members, among which there are 230 medium to large-scale manufacturers.
**Market Introduction:**
Currently, Iran has around 2,000 auto parts factories and 650 members, with about 100 medium to large-sized manufacturers. Iran's annual demand for various types of vehicles is 500,000 units, and by 2012, the annual demand for automobiles in Iran will reach 1 million units. However, its current domestic production capacity is only about 380,000 units per year. While Iran is increasing its domestic automobile production, it will also import and export a large number of automobiles and parts to meet societal demands. The economic and trade complementarity between China and Iran is strong, offering broad development prospects. China is Iran’s second-largest trading partner, with bilateral trade reaching $5.623 billion last year. Iran maintains a strong demand for Chinese machinery and electrical products, accounting for about 50%. Domestic Chinese automobile enterprises are entering the Iranian market, such as Southeast Motor exporting 8,500 Dongben Delica cars to Iran. In addition, Chery, Sinotruk, and Foton Motors have also accelerated their entry into the Iranian market, signing project cooperation agreements with Iranian companies. There is another automobile exhibition in Tabriz, Iran, which is held in a northern city of Iran, but the professionalism of this exhibition does not match that of the Tehran exhibition. The Tabriz automobile exhibition includes both complete vehicles and auto parts, but the professionalism of buyers is not strong. Therefore, our company recommends exhibitors participate in the Tehran Auto Parts Exhibition.
