However, unlike some cities' marriage registration centers which adopted advance appointment measures to cope with the registration peak on Valentine's Day, the marriage registration center in Dongguan city would directly handle marriage registration for new couples on Valentine's Day. These couples did not need to make an advance appointment like they would on days such as "Double Ten" or "Singles' Day".
